Avta Sports is the oldest sports brand in Borneo, founded in 1979 and is a leading sports-tourism event management and outdoor adventure company in Malaysia that has a long, established reputation for brand creation and event management for sports tourism events including extreme sporting events from adventure races to ultra-trail marathons since 1999.
Formerly known as Sabah Adventure Challenge, Avta Sports Sdn Bhd absorbed Sabah Adventure Challenge in 2019 and took over all activities and events.
Our speciality and expertise include creating brands and sports tourism products as well as executing and successfully organizing extreme sports events from trail running to ultra distance road running events including the sport of adventure racing.
Avta Sports Sdn Bhd has successfully organized over 47 international sporting events in Malaysia since 1999 and is a respected event management company within the sports-tourism and outdoor event industry. We began our humble beginnings by organizing the Sabah Sprint Triathlon in 1999 and bring 24years of experience in brand creation and organizing extreme outdoor events that we create and develop from the ground up.
Over 20,000 international and domestic participants have successfully participated in our events since 1999 and as brand creators and event organizers, we have an excellent health and safety record since 1999 in Malaysia for all our events.
Avta Sports was also the first sports-tourism event company in Malaysia to introduce a live tracking system (Racematix) for ultra-trail marathon events in 2014 to improve safety standards in the sport as well as the pioneers of the sport of ultra trail marathon running and ultra road marathon running events in Malaysia.
